Important Notice, Please Read

Coronavirus Statement March 25, 2020

To all Zurcher Orthodontic and Jordan Landing Orthodontic patients:

Due to concerns of the Utah Health Department our office is only allowed to see orthodontic patients for emergencies. This is defined as anything related to your orthodontic appliances that is causing pain or poking into your gums, cheeks, lips or tongue.

Please know that your orthodontic treatment is still progressing!  Most wires in your mouth are special alloy metals that are able to work over many weeks. If you have been asked to wear elastics continue to do so as directed. When you need more elastics, give the office a call and we will make arrangements to have you stop by.

Continue to brush your teeth, gums and braces multiple times a day and floss once a day. Good dental oral hygiene is of utmost importance to avoid damage to your enamel and irritation to your gums.

If you have an expander please do not continue to make turns until you are seen in the office.

If you are wearing retainers continue to do so as directed. Call for an appointment if you lose or break a retainer.

We will resume regular adjustments and all other appointments as soon as we are able to safely do so, and will be contacting you to reschedule.Unless you have extenuating circumstances, we request that you allow us to call to reschedule. This will help us to manage the overall appointment schedule.

Dr Z is reviewing each patient’s treatment status and needs as appointments are rescheduled in order to provide our patients with the best care possible. Your understanding and patience with this very challenging situation is appreciated.

Remember that your treatment is still progressing, and keep those teeth and braces clean!

If you have an urgent need during this time, we will be available for emergency appointments. Please call our office at 801-572-8999 to discuss the best course of action for your specific situation.

See you soon,

Dr. Zurcher and staff
